Acuerdo de Visas Chile/EAU

A contar de Diciembre 2017 los ciudadanos chilenos con pasaportes válidos por al menos 6 meses no requieren de visas previas para ingresar a los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. Al llegar a los puntos de ingreso al país el pasaporte será timbrado, lo cual otorga una estadía de 90 días en el territorio de EAU. De la misma forma los ciudadanos emiratíes no necesitan visas para viajar a Chile.

National Day Celebration 2012

On the occasion of the 202nd anniversary, the Embassy of Chile organised an event at the Jumeirah Etihad Towers on September 18th 2012. Over 350 people attended the event including prominent members of the Chilean communicty, which was honoured by the presence of HE Ali Al Hashemi, Presidential Advisor for Religious Affairs, HE Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qassimi, former Minister of Economy and Secretargy General of the GCC, HE Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Chairman of RAK Civil Aviation and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, among other royals, dignitaries and diplomats.

Live music was played by Chilean artists resident in Dubai, Mr. Vicente Alliende and Mr. Sergio Catalán.

The event was held with the kind sponsorship of Jumeirah Etihad Towers, Unifrutti, Spinneys, Farzana Trading, Organic Foods and Cafés, Yalda Trading, IFFCO, Magenta LLC and Trubell.

National Day Celebration 2011

The Embassy of Chile celebration the Chilean Independence Day on September 18 2011 at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi, in the presence of HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, various members of the UAE Royals families and government officials.

Bicentennial Celebration in Abu Dhabi

On the occasion of the 200 years of Independence of the Republic of Chile, the Embassy of Chile in the United Arab Emirates organised a celebration at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi on September 19th 2010.

The event was attended by over 320 people with the Guest of Honour being His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who is the bearer of the Order of Merit of Bernardo O’Higgins granted to him 19 years ago, for his outstanding contribution to the bilateral relation between both countries.

The Event was also honoured by the attendence of HH Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qassimi, HH Sheikh Ahmad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla and representatives of the families of the 7 Emirates as well as Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Juma Al Junaibi, Undersecretary of Foreign Trade Abdallah Al Saleh, Director of Protocol Abdulsalam Al Rumaithi as well as various directors, dignitaries and high officials of the UAE government and members of the Diplomatic community. Traditional food was served during the event including king crab, locos and Pacific razor clams, Empanadas and Salmon Ceviche, among other delicacies.

The orchestra of Chilean Maestro Ovidio de Ferrari played the National Anthems and various traditional chilean songs for the occasion.

Ambassador Jean-Paul Tarud also thanked the authories for their presence and mentioned that it was also the first anniversary of the Embassy of Chile in the UAE, pointing out the tremedous progress and achievements in the bilateral relation that have been accomplished in such a short period of time, including the opening of the UAE Embassy in Chile this year.

After the cake cutting ceremony, the Ambassador read the Presidencial salute of HE Sebastián Piñera to the Chilean community resident in the United Arab Emirates
